Clear rules for using and contributing to CostDoc.

CostDoc provides pricing information only. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations.

Users must only submit cost information they genuinely experienced or can accurately document. Clinical outcome commentary and defamatory statements are outside scope and may be removed.

You must be at least 18 years old and only submit information you are authorised to share. If you submit a provider claim or correction, you confirm that you are the listed provider or are authorised to act on that provider's behalf.

You must not submit false or misleading pricing, impersonate another person or provider, upload unlawful material, include unnecessary sensitive clinical details, or use scripts, bots, scraping, or bulk submission methods to abuse the service.

You must not submit cost reports, reviews, comments, or other content to CostDoc that identifies a specific provider or clinician as supplying a prescription-only (Schedule 4) or controlled (Schedule 8) medicine. This includes, without limitation, botulinum toxin treatments (Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, Letybo, Relfydess), dermal-filler brands (Juvederm, Restylane, Teosyal, Belotero, Radiesse), weight-loss medicines (Ozempic, Wegovy, Saxenda, Mounjaro, Trulicity, Rybelsus), fat-dissolving injections (Kybella, Belkyra), and any other therapeutic good requiring a prescription. CostDoc may reject, redact, or remove submissions that attach specific prescription-medicine pricing to a named provider. CostDoc publishes only aggregate, city-level cost ranges for procedures that involve prescription-only medicines, and does so for informational purposes about typical out-of-pocket costs, not as advertising or endorsement of any medicine or any practitioner. CostDoc is not a seller, prescriber, or advertiser of any therapeutic good.

Provider listings may be generated from public and patient-contributed information. Profiles can be corrected, claimed, or challenged through the platform's claim and takedown workflows.

Where modelled specialist fee breakdowns are shown, they are clearly labelled as estimates and not sourced from government data. Modelled figures and patient-reported pricing are presented as separate layers of information.

To the extent permitted by law, CostDoc is not liable for any loss arising from reliance on information displayed on the site, including medical cost figures, provider listings, and modelled estimates. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any guarantee, right, or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010).

If a third party makes a claim, complaint, or legal demand against CostDoc that arises out of (a) information you submit to the site (including cost data, supporting documents, corrections, claim materials, or messages through any CostDoc form), (b) your breach of these Terms or the Acceptable use rules, or (c) your infringement of another person's rights, you agree to indemnify CostDoc and pay our reasonable legal costs and any amounts we are required to pay to resolve the claim. This indemnity does not apply to the extent the claim is caused by CostDoc's own breach of the law, negligence, or wilful misconduct, and it does not exclude any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) that cannot be lawfully excluded.

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You and CostDoc submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales in respect of any dispute arising from your use of the site.

We may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes in the service, in our processors, or in Australian law. When we change these Terms in a way that affects your rights, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where the change is material, we will notify you in advance through a notice on the site or by email if you have provided your email address. Continued use of CostDoc after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not accept a change, you can stop using the site and request deletion of any personal information you have provided (see the Privacy Policy).
